最近迷 icon
最近迷上icon了，把死板板的系统默认文件夹图标换成各种与内容相关的图示，多鲜活，多赏心悦目！
昨天下了一组Garu与Pucca的，觉得很可爱，就去搜了一下，原来已经这么红了，我可真是后知后觉啊 
。搜到一个法国fan的站，相册内容很丰富，貌似可以拿来当该主题的素材站 
！
今天跟IconBuilder奋战了一天。昨晚刚惊喜地发现它制作icon的奇效，结果……今早就不灵了，第一个是完美制作，第二个开始，都有一条横线出现icon中，无论如何也没办法去掉。这是其一。然后我打算卸了重装，不料却再也装不上了，怎么也装不上 
虽然先前版本的可以用，却觉得有点忿忿，非要跟它较劲，我一定得装上……最后当然是——没成功啦，呼～不过现在我觉得好受多了，因为看到VersionTracker上居然有好几个用同一版本的网友有类似问题，看来我也中了“幸运大奖”，不知道是不是软件的bug，有人说跟开发网站汇报了，却没来报道后续。而且这软件是05年8月开发的，如果真的是bug，应该已经着手修改了哇，这可是卖79刀的咧，不解哦

You can make the process of producing an entire icon suite (all size variants) a lot easier by using the free IconBuilderAssistant.atn (Photoshop actions) and the .psd templates that come with IconBuilder. You’ll find both items in the IconBuilder Essentials folder. There are several different templates in the IconBuilder Grid files folder for a variety of different types of icon. Use the grids in conjunction with the actions to automate your icon size production in one go
Generate IconBuilder Classic
This action is based on the grid file included in previous releases of IconBuilder.
The action takes the 128×128 resource in the IconBuilder Grid.psd file and creates 32-bit versions in 48×48, 32×32, 24×24 and 16×16 versions. The resulting layer can then be used with the Windows preset in IconBuilder.
Generate Macintosh Standard (probably the most useful for the majority of users)
This action can be used to generate the resources required for a typical Macintosh icon.
The action works with the Macintosh.psd file located in IconBuilder Essentials > IconBuilder Grid Files. It takes the 128×128 resource and creates 48×48, 32×32 and 16×16 versions. The resulting layer can then be used with the Macintosh preset in IconBuilder.
Generate Windows Standard
This action can be used to generate the resources required for a typical Windows icon.
The action works with the Windows.psd file located in IconBuilder Essentials > IconBuilder Grid Files. It uses the 48×48 resources and creates 32×32, 24×24 and 16×16 versions for each depth.
If you are using Photoshop, you can use the Create 8-bit Copy and Create 4-bit Copy actions (described below) to build the lower bit depths for the 48×48 resource. Fireworks users will need to create the lower bit depths by hand or rely on IconBuilder’s cloning feature to create them automatically.
If the lower bit depths are missing from the Photoshop layer, you’ll receive an error “Could not complete the command because the selected area is empty” and the action will stop running. The missing resource is highlighted with a selection rectangle.
Note that the 24×24 resource is created by the action. In most cases, you will want to avoid including this resource in the .ICO file since it causes problems on older versions of Windows. See the Verify panel in IconBuilder for more information.
The resulting layer can be used with the Windows preset in IconBuilder.
Create 8-bit Copy
This action can be used to automatically create an 8-bit version of a 32-bit icon. It is only available in Photoshop since Fireworks does not have any built-in features to palletize an image.
The action takes the selection you have in Photoshop and reduces it to an 8-bit image in an RGB layer. The 8-bit image will use an Adaptive palette. This is useful when you are creating Windows icons that need a 256 color icon as well as a 32-bit icon.
The maximum selection size supported by the action is 1500 x 1000 pixels. This size can be enlarged by editing the action.
If your selection covers multiple icons, all the icons will share the same color table after the action completes.
Create 4-bit Copy
This action can be used to automatically create a 4-bit version of a 32-bit icon. It is only available in Photoshop since Fireworks does not have any built-in features to palletize an image.
The action takes the selection you have in Photoshop and reduces it to a 4-bit image in an RGB layer. The 4-bit image will use the standard Windows VGA palette. This is useful when you are creating Windows icons that need a 16 color icon as well as a 32-bit icon.
The maximum selection size supported by the action is 1500 x 1000 pixels. This size can be enlarged by editing the action.
Load actions into Photoshop
1) Open the Actions palette in Photoshop.
2) From the palette button menu, select “Load Actions…” and select the “IconBuilder 8 Assistant.atn” file.
3) You should see a set of actions labeled “IconBuilder Assistant”. In the set there is an action named “Convert 128 to others” which will be used in the next set of steps.
Open IconBuilder stationary
1) Whenever you want to create a new Mac icon, open the “Macintosh Standard.psd” document.
2) Create a new layer and place your artwork in the 128×128 resource location.
3) To copy the 128×128 icon to the other icon resources, select the new layer and run the action titled “Generate Macintosh Standard”.
4) When the action is complete, the 48×48, 32×32 and 16×16 resources in the grid will contain scaled down versions of the 128×128 icon.
5) Touch-up the icons on the layer as necessary.
6) Start IconBuilder 8 from the Filters menu.
Run IconBuilder
1) Select the Macintosh Standard grid preset from the drop down menu (located under the IconBuilder logo.) This will automatically position the grid locations on the layer.
2) Click the Build All button (or use Command-B) to fill in the resource list
3) Use the Save button to place the icon resources in a file. Select “Macintosh custom icon” in the save panel and enter a file name in the Save As field.
4) Press Done to leave IconBuilder and return to Photoshop.
5) Use “Save As…” to save the layers for the icon. This makes it easier to edit them in the future.
